Chromebook Tricks!

We all have Chromebooks, but what we all don’t know is that you can customize them – a lot!  In this article, you will learn many customization options and tricks for an easier experience!

The first trick that I can show you is making the cursor a different color!

  1. Hover your mouse over the little icon in the bottom right corner of your screen and then tap on it.
  2. Click on the settings icon and it will take it to a settings menu.
  3. In the search bar, write “Cursor” and then press Enter on your keyboard.
  4. You will see the words “Cursor color”.  It will be on black, but if you press the dropdown menu you can choose from red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, magenta, and pink.

Another cool trick is making your mouse bigger.

  1. Do the same as trick, #1 but stop at step 3.
  2. You will see the words “Show large mouse cursor”.
  3. Click the switch beside it and then a menu that says “Adjust cursor size” and then you can drag how big you want your mouse.

You can change the color of the bookmark/tab bar and also change the background of Google!

  1. Go to a new tab.
  2. In the bottom right corner, there is a little pencil.  Click that.
  3. Now, you can click any of the categories and then choose your background.
  4. If you click “Color and theme”, you can pick the color that you want your bookmark bar and tab bar to be.
