A Greener Education

Ava K.

As teachers know, engagement is now a need for all students from kindergarten to high school. Studies have shown that students are much more engaged when learning outdoors in natural environments. My Earth Science teacher recently brought our class outside to teach us about shadows. This was a very educational yet entertaining experience. Students, including myself, enjoyed learning in a natural environment. This experience makes students pay more attention, enhance their communication skills, and increase their motivation. Therefore, I believe that teaching class outside is extremely beneficial to both students and teachers.
